Construction recruitment firm 'fastest growing' in Australia

Skye Recruitment, one of Australia's foremost white collar technical organisations, saw its annual growth nearly triple last year.

The construction recruitment company, which specialises in civil engineering jobs as well as construction jobs, experienced 166 per cent annual growth and has been named the fastest growing company in its category in Queensland.

"We hire consultants who are degree qualified but have no previous experience with recruitment because we get much better results with our components-based best-practice training modules," said the company's co-founder Sophie Macdonald.

"If our consultants are confident and relaxed then they are more likely to be motivated and bring that positivity to their client and candidate dealings, and that's win-win-win."

The company has received a number of awards recently including SmartCompany's Smart50, BRW's Fast Starters and Seek's SARA awards.

In addition, Mrs Macdonald was one of only four women to be shortlisted for the Queensland's Telstra Young Businesswoman Award.
