Northern Ireland health minister Michael McGimpsey has announced a private sector consortium has been appointed to carry out construction work on a hospital in County Fermanagh.
The Northern Ireland Health Group (NIHG), advised by Cyril Sweett, will be responsible for the 315-bed facility outside Enniskillen, reports CNPlus.co.uk.
Construction work is scheduled to begin next year, with completion pencilled in for 2012.
Brian Furlong, bid director for NIHG, told the news provider the project will create "one of the most modern hospital facilities in the UK".
He added: "This is a large scale project which will bring improved models of clinical care for people living in the area."
BizWorld recently revealed a Spanish consortium headed by FCC has been chosen as preferred bidder for construction work on a hospital in County Tyrone.
The £267 million project, to be built over 60,000 sq m, is set to be partly managed by the organisation for its first 30 years.
